Gentlemen Sachs-riders: Good evening.
Since i am privilleged to own and drive an Sachs R 800, i'm looking for knowledge and replacement parts in germany and... in france.
In Germany, i found your forum (very helpful for me) with good relationship. i want espacially to thanks ST"ef"AN Mikosch LAUREL for his continuous help.
One day, i was really surprised to find in france on e-bay a Sachs R 800 part: a handlebar (Lenker?). I have a very little brain (very little) but he said to me: If there is a Sachs R 800 handlebar, perhaps trere is another parts....
So, i send a message to the vendor.
Immediatly, i received an answer: he was the owner of a complete Sachs Roadster 800....with broken engine....and without front parts : fork and complete wheel! with papers...(in germany, with TUV, i don't know: is it possible?
My first idea was: i can find replacement parts: Tank! and other rare parts.
So, last week-end i organised a commando operation from toulouse to paris to take rests of black lady. it was made.
Today i call the vendor to ask a question without importance and i tell him than Stan found a new fork for me... The vendor told me: wait a minut: I think i can recover your front parts.
Fork and wheel where sold to a guzzi man for an old Guzzi Le Mans. (No comment..!!!). And there is a problem....(perhaps i have solution...but...i forget it.)
So it seems possible to recover a complete Sachs Roadster 800.
Engine must be verified: So i think it could be interesting to compare Sachs roadster 800 with Suzuki VS 800 motor and Sachs Café-racer F 805 with Suzuki VX 800 motor, keeping appearance (black and chrom).
Soon: news of my two sachs: new suspension for R800 and F805 project. (with snapshots).
Cordialement
pierre
For Eiffel-treffen i will use the first.
