1 500 / 15 000 kms...Ein Jahr mit ein Sachs Roadster 800 im Frankreich...........
Sorry! but i use again my bad english. (Really sorry for John and Lynn....).
I discovered my Sachs roadster in summer 2008. Immediatly, it was a strange relation: love and hate!.......................Life............
- Love: Fabulous meeting of fabulous design from legendary Target Design and fabulous design of Suzuki Intruder 800's engine...
- Hate: Bad results..............
....there is no problems, there is only solutions!.......................................................
I changed:
- Handelbar (Lenker) from Ducati monstro.....
- Control panel position.
- Carburation adjustments ( another front cylinder's needle, another diameters of orifice of piston valve, original Mikuni's springs)
- Fork adjusments (springs (Gabelfedern ) from Hyperpro for Guzzi V11) and oil quantity: 250cc changed oil + 50 cc unchanged oil from cartridge )
- Dämpfer (french EMC 340mm lenght.......)
- Tyres: Metzeler Z6 to forget horrific Pirelli. and 160/60 - 17 in place of 160/70 - 17...
- Watercooler expansion tank......(parts from VX 800...)
- Watercooler's ventilator thermoswitch (100° in place of 102°.)..........
- Height of mainstand (for limitation of sparks production in every curve.....): 20 mm.
- Footrests attachments (I was really angry!!!...)
After 14 000 kms, sound was changed (explosions in exhaust's pipes) and consumption was bigger... : New spark plugs and i heard again the original sound...
- Engine became empty, free (i don't know the good expression) between 10 000 and 12 500 kms: no more limitation before red zone.............
A perfect Sachs? No! ....Better is allways possible....
But! Don't touch my Sachs!...It's a perfect bike.....................................................................
Just a problem (in Germany.........) : NoTÜFFF...............................(i made a mistake ?...........)
